It’s taken me 6 months, but I’ve lost 20 pounds.

I hate dieting. I hate working out. I love fried food. But I really hate trying on everything in my closet and sobbing because almost nothing fits anymore.

6 months ago, I started tracking my caloric intake. I realized I eat over 3000 calories a day and I’m only 5’4”. I tried to restrict myself to 1200, but I was miserable and constantly bitchy. Then I tried 1500, but I was still hungry all the time.

I decided I just needed to eat less than I had been eating, so I made sure that on average I kept my intake under or around 2000. Slowly but surely, I’ve been losing. And I haven’t given up a damn thing. Not fried food, not pasta, not alcohol, nothing. It’s the only weight loss strategy that has ever worked for me. https://imgur.com/gallery/1Bv5YWH
