I get news articles about obesity recommend, because I do a shit ton of reading about nutrition and weight loss (gee, wonder why?)
And I got this and couldn't stop reading it. Nearly cried at work.
https://highline.huffingtonpost.com/articles/en/everything-you-know-about-obesity-is-wrong/
It's got a lot of truth about how it feels and how hard it is.
The one place I think it falls down is in the concept that because weight loss is difficult, the article almost makes it sound impossible and non-sustainable. We know that's not true. It's not simple or easy for everyone, but it is possible to lose weight and keep it off. Maybe not all the weight, but a big damn chunk of it.
I think one of the points in the article struck home - having constant intervention made a huge, huge difference to results. Which is where this community has made such a difference to so many of us.
So thank you - all of you- for being here through the loss and the maintenance and the education and the arguments and the debates, and for being positive and kind.
