I started at 250 and in 11 months, I was able to make it to 160. This is my lowest weight since my freshman year of high school. It’s been an amazing journey that has brought an insane amount of confident and happiness into my life. I did this through 45 minutes of cardio 4 times a week, a calorie intake of 1200 with a low carb (only getting carbs from vegetables and potatoes, not grains) and low fat diet.
Over the summer, I stopped my intense exercise regimen and eating plan and decided to maintain for a while. I was able to stay at 160-163 the entire time, disproving my biggest fear that I’ll just gain it all back in time.
Now here I am, starting fall at the same weight, and I feel so defeated. The weeks that I try my old plan, I don’t seem to be successful. This leads to a couple days of not trying, and it all just leads me to staying exactly where I am.
I’ve heard before that weight loss at a lower weight involves analyzing macros, but I don’t even know where to start.
My job is very active (I’m a coach), and it’s only gotten crazier in the last couple of weeks, and that leaves me exhausted every day with no energy to work out.
How did y’all finish strong? How should I be changing my eating and work out plan? I want to feel successful again, but honestly I don’t even know where to start. I’ve come so far, most of my friends and family are either tired of hearing about it or don’t feel I need to lose any more. I’m just seeking advice and encouragement to continue on and reach my goals.
My current stats: Weight: 162 Body fat %: 27%
My goal stats: Weight: 145 Body fat %: 25% or lower (technical healthy body fat percentage for my height and age)
Thank you in advance, you lovely people!
