So I'm a high school student, who was overweight last year. My doctor last year told me that I should aim to exercise and lose weight to around 115 lbs (I'm an average height Asian girl). I had lost 26 lbs in exactly a year (so I was 126 lbs) until I came back from a cruise in the summer and gained 6 lbs. Then, I lost a couple of pounds (I was 130 lbs) afterwards because I was only eating 2 meals a day, which was probably not a healthy decision, but I seriously felt uncomfortable eating 3 meals a day ever since I left the cruise.
I went back to school three weeks ago, and my classes completely wrecked me. I've been doing about 6 hrs of hw a night and going to extracurriculars with 5-6 hrs of sleep a night. And then on weekends, I take SAT classes, self-study for an AP exam, self-learn Mandarin Chinese, and do homework in advance. All of this takes about 6-10 hours a day. I've legitimately forgotten about keeping track of my weight, and I've been too busy to exercise. However, I started to eat 3-4 meals a day because I found myself getting really hungry really fast. This morning, my mom told me that my face looked thinner. So I weighed myself a couple of minutes ago after eating lunch and found that I'm now 122 lbs, so I lost like 8 lbs in three weeks.
I had never heard of people losing weight from studying, but my mom said that she lost like 10 lbs when she was studying for exams in medical school. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned?
