Question for all the CICO Experts: packaged foods and quick weight loss related

I am F/39/SW 199 CW 193.

My sister in law went to a nutritionist who put her on a plan that includes eating Health Wise diet products plus some added fat, 3-5 oz of meat, or other protein per day and 4 cups of vegetables from an approved list. She and my brother in law have had tremendous success losing 150 Lbs plus. They are in the medical profession and can now get the products at cost. So my entire family is in laws is now on this diet. Including my husband who has lost 50 lbs so far. I was extremely leery of it as I have found that diets and gimmicks are not sustainable for me. However, after seeing the success of all the people around me I decided to jump on board.

The problem is I am STARVING and it is bringing up a lot of emotional issues for me to restrict in this way. I bought a months worth of product and I have only been on it two weeks and I am already doubting the ability to be successful. Adding up the calories any given day is between 1200-1500. 1500 is where MY Fitness Pal says I should be at for 2 lbs a week.

I lost 6 lbs the first week and zero lbs the second week. Admittedly I did have a tiny bit of feta on a salad and some artichokes (not on the approved vegetable list) one day and 1 small keto breadstick at a part over the weekend on the second week. The program says not to stray from the diet at all as this will bring my body out of ketosis and I won’t lose weight. I don’t know that I believe this as the snacks on the plan are pretty sweet and I was still at a calorie deficit. And other than bread and other strait up carbs there isn’t really any other type of food that is eliminated.

I like having prepackaged and easy products laid out for me as I am a busy working mom. So in that sense this plan is sustainable. Also we have been able to get these products at cost and it is saving us money on groceries so I am not concerned about the expense. However the hunger and the inability to stray even with 100-200 calories off plan is not sustainable to me

My question is this: If I modified the plan with adding in 100-200 calories of healthy whole foods that satiate my hunger and keep me within a 1500-1700 per day range shouldn’t I continue to lose weight, just not as fast?
