Dietician told me to stop losing weight

I’ve been really struggling with energy/mood during weight loss, and I was encouraged by friends to go ask a dietician about it. I am losing weight to hopefully help with some joint problems (pain from hypermobility- yes I know there are other ways to manage hypermobility). It was the rheumatologist who told me to lose weight.

The dietician pointed out to me that even though I have lost 10 pounds, I am not in any less pain. I have also been much less able to exercise than I was before/hungry all the time, even at a small 300 calorie deficit. She said my diet is very healthy so I do not think I am not eating well and that is why I am hungry.

I like my body a lot more now, and I wonder if I would like it even better if I were thinner. Also, even though I have enough data to calculate my TDEE from the last 40 days of tracking, I’m sure if I did not track I would gain the 10 pounds I lost. As long as I’m tracking and eating less than I would to gain, I figure I will feel deprived as I do now, so I am continuing to try to lose.

Is this nuts?
