It all started a couple months ago when I stepped on a scale and saw I weighed 272.6lbs, now I am a 25YO M, who is 5ft 9in, with a thick build and people always told me I was not fat or didn’t look bad etc. I saw that 272lbs and I said “not a fucking chance”, the past few years I hovered around 252-255lbs, then I got an office job, was ordering lunches consistently etc. I knew something had to change and I wanted to make a change while I was young enough where it would not be impossible.
Thanks to this sub and everything else I have been doing I woke up weighing 247.2lbs today. Thanks to diet, meal prep, the gym and cutting out soda from my life I can start to see my end goal down the line. Ideally I want to end up around 200lbs, but the first 25lbs was a great start. For anyone dieting, I still slip up a couple times a week but I am trying to get better at that, it’s natural, when you eat a lot of crap for 24+ years you will get your cravings.
I just felt good today and wanted to share it, anyone can do it, just takes commitment and willpower to make the change we all desperately want to do along with an good support system, friends, family, a weight loss program etc.
Thank you to all the posts here that I see you are a large motivator for myself and many others.
