I am in medically supervised weight loss. I just weighed in at 240. I was once 350 (maybe more, I stopped weighing, because I was so ashamed). I knew I had to do something. I changed my diet. Lost about 75 pounds and no more would come off. For about 3 years. I decided to do more. Joined this program and have stuck to it. I just had to buy new clothes and guess what my Reddit friends, your girl here is wearing size LARGE comfortably. Even one size medium shirt. I haven't worn that size since ..... 6th grade I believe.
Don't worry, I'm not stopping here. My 100% ultimate goal is 160 lbs.
If anyone out there needs encouragement, I used to hate it hearing "if I can do it, you can too!" partly because most of those people said things like, just start running. I can't run, due to hip dysplasia being a serious disability. I can't really exercise easily like everyone else except swimming and even that is terribly exhausting. But I am counting calories, protein, and carbs, and here I am. Do NOT EVER GIVE UP. It isn't always easy. Its hard to say no to goodies everyone else is eating at a party. It feels a little awkward to refuse food served because it would mess up your ketosis for a week. You don't lose as much weight for a couple weeks and start to doubt. Do. NOT. give. up. Here is to fitting in size medium, like you haven't since you were in 4th or 5th grade.
