Since my last post over 3 months ago, I've lost about 10kg. As stated in my previous update, I have joined the gym and have slowly started becoming addicted to it. For two months, I almost didn't miss a day. I expected to stick with the treadmill for some time, but I've quickly moved to lifting, and I honestly feel like a different person. I'm currently in my hometown, but I can't wait to go back and continue my gym routine.
Overall, that has helped a lot with weight loss, and I'm quickly realizing that the "weight loss is mostly about eating and not exercise" myth is a long shot from the truth. Weight loss is mostly about psychology, and exercise is an incredible source of motivation. I didn't believe it at first, but I can confidently say that now. Discounting burned calories from exercise and the metabolic processes it initiates is also entirely unfair, but it can't be understated that working out has been a game-changer in regards to how I manage eating.
Other than exercise, I'm continuing to realize that being cautious of carbs is my primary strategy. I'm trying out different techniques every now and then (such as intermittent fasting, currently), but this appears to be the main thing that has helped loose over 30kg. Whenever I do indulge, inevitably, I try to be as mindful as possible.
That's all for now! Good luck with your goals and see you around!
