I’ve been recovered from an eating disorder for around five years. It was extreme I was in the gym at all hours and barely eating. I was in a lot of mental and physical pain. I had to eventually take time off of university to recover.
Anyone who had an eating disorder knows it never truly goes away. There’s always a little voice in your head criticizing you and tempting you to get back into old habits. I’m in therapy weekly to work on this.
Here’s my problem: I accidentally saw my weight on my medical chart. I am clinically overweight (around a 25.6 BMI, the highest I’ve ever weighed) but my doctors have never brought it up (probably to spare triggering me)
I feel like the 5-7 pounds I need to lose can be done easily as I have recently let go of healthy habits recently and maybe just need to add those back in. Like exercise, eating full meals, and stop ordering take out. BUT weight loss is a slippery slope for someone like me. What should I do?
