Started another of my attempts at weight loss about a month ago. Previous attempts ended in the common issue of going back to "normal" and gaining more than I lost.
My issue is very much around being brought up in family with no concept of portion control and obsessed with eating everything you are given. So even with cooking what should be healthy meals, I end up eating way too much; even when I'm full I just keep going to empty the plate.
Today I made my lunch, put my normal portion on, looked at it and then put about half of it away (it will keep in the fridge). As a result I had about 300kcal instead of 600 and still made it to dinner without feeling hungry.
I know this is not much and it sounds so obvious to just eat less, but it felt like I've actually started to move in the right direction.
