Long time lurker here, I 35F 5'7" started my weight loss journey at the beginning of August. Initially I was only doing body weight exercises at the house and making healthier choices. Eventually I listened to all of the advice in this sub and downloaded the Lose It app and started CICO. I didn't get a scale until the end of August because I was getting discouraged and wasn't seeing much progress.
Because of this I wasn't sure what my starting wight was and just used my last weigh in at the Dr. as my weight for the lose it app. Originally thought I was 295 and weighed in at 277 which changed my daily calorie limit from 2400 to 2100.
Weight loss has been pretty steadily 1 lb a week. I wanted to lose slowly to make sure I am making a sustainable change and I had worries about losing muscle mass and trying to minimize loose skin. A couple of weeks ago my workplace began a walking competition to see who could get the most steps so I traded in body weight exercises for walking. Between 9/16 - 9/23 I went from 276 to 266. Not sure if this is water weight that is see discussed sometimes here or if I am losing muscle mass. Is there a way to know? Should I increase my calorie limit or wait to see if it stabilizes? Is this normal am I worrying too much?
Any advice is appreciated!
