I went all in on my weight loss last October at 248 pounds. I had lost 20 pounds over the year before that without really trying my all time high of 267 in July 2019.
I now weigh 190 pounds.
I’m a 25 year old guy. I’m just under 5’6 (5’5.5) and I’m at my lowest weight since graduating high school. Throughout high school I fluctuated between 180 and 193. I was 193 on graduation day in 2014.
I haven’t been below 180 since I was 14. I was always chubby as a kid and as a teen. I was 144 pounds at 10, 157 pounds at 11, and 175 pounds at 13.
I’ve lost 58 pounds in 11 months solely from tracking and without much exercise. The last 18 pounds have been from Keto after starting the first week of July.
My dream is to have a normal BMI. I’ve never had that before. So, my destination weight wise when I started was 150 pounds.
I had two guiding beliefs/strategies when I started that have gotten to me where I am:
1). I would measure and track every single thing I ate.
2). If I went over my calories on one day I had to apply/track the overage/overflow to another day that week
The issue is now I can’t seem to stay in a deficit at all after averaging a 600 to 700 calorie deficit a day for 11 months. I’m not feeling full anymore even on Keto.
I’m going over more and more and my overflow is getting out of hand. I’m not gaining but I’m definitely not losing much.
My BMR is 1,900 calories a day and it’s lately taking at least 1,700 calories just for me to be satisfied. I’ve tried just eating at maintenance but I just feel so bloated and awful when I do.
