Two weeks in, lost 2.5kg (5.5lbs). No longer obese!

30M 183cm(6'0') SW 101.8kg (224.4lbs) CW 99.3kg (218.9lbs) GW 80kg (176.4lbs)

Started with my very supportive spouse to restrict calories through OMAD (4hr eating window, exception being a protein shake after workout) and strength training/cardio. When the gyms opened here post-COVID, I got right in there with the weights and the cardio, at least something every weekday.

Tbh I had no idea I fell into the obese category with my BMI until I measured it, as I've always been a "big guy" 6ft, broad shoulders and hold the weight without being too "round", but with the pandemic and the lack of activity, not to mention the comfort and stress eating, my jeans sizes were going up, my favourite shirts didn't fit, and I was looking in the mirror more and more and seeing a fat guy.

I know I'm at the start of my weight loss journey, but to go under both the 100kg and the "obese" milestones feels like a huge win for me and a big motivation to keep going.

My goal weight of 80kg is still at the top of the "healthy weight" BMI range for my height, but it was my weight when I felt best about myself, so I'm sticking with it for now. In the meantime, I'm feeling good about myself for the first time in ages.
