A reminder to celebrate small victories!

Like everyone, I get so inspired and am in love with people's huge weight loss transformations. But at the same time, it can be discouraging when you seem to be doing everything correctly, but the scale isn't moving.

Of course, not all progress reflects on what you see the scale, but nothing beats seeing the number smaller than previously. For myself, I've been teetering between 199-200 pounds for about 2 months and it was really frustrating to not see the scale move.

Today, I finally weighed myself and am at 195 lb. Not much, I know, but for the first time in 20 years, I am finally going back on the scale instead of forward and damn, it feels good.

My point is, as long as you're moving in the right direction, you're still moving, no matter how long it takes. Don't rely on the scale too much as weight loss can reflect in how your clothes fit, how you feel, energy levels, etc.

Although I still have a long way to go and it's important to focus on your goal, it's important to congratulate yourselves on what you have achieved, not chastising yourself for what you haven't. You and your mental health will appreciate it.

Keep going, we got this!
