2 Years On... 79 Pounds (5.6 Stone, 35.8Kgs) Down.

So I posted here about 2 years ago about my desire to lose weight, i was tipping the scaled at 134Kgs at that point. Anyway after a year of tracking calories and another year of just eating a lot less and a lot better without the headache of tracking I am down to below my original goal weight of 100kgs. Weight this morning was 98Kgs.

It's been a hard few years of depriving myself when i had to and forcing myself to run in the morning and gym at night, I'm not a fitness fanatic I can't share macro nutrients or one rep maxes or anything like that however I am much fitter (Can run 6-7 miles without issue) and am enjoying the weight lifting. The difference in being comfortable is the main thing... we have had one of the hottest summers ever in the UK this year and I was basically fine, no crazy sweating or wanting winter to come as soon as possible like before. Another one of the best bits is clothes, I can now look semi-fashionable (when i actually listen to my fiancee) and can buy clothes from normal places without having to ask if they have that shirt in XXL (I can now fit in slim fit Large or Medium... its a great feeling).

I've still got a ways to go but I'm focusing much less on losing weight and much more on fitness and hopefully the next 10-15 pounds will just come off naturally... got to look good in a suit for March 2020 when I get married (whoop!!). Just wanted to thank everyone in here for keeping me on track, I haven't really posted at all but being able to read tips and stories about weight loss is really helpful when i'm struggling to stay motivated.

If I have any advice for anyone it would be to take it slowly, I'm very happy with my 5 stone loss but i'm well aware there are people that could have done that it 6 months or something. For me it's a lifestyle change and I know I'm not gonna put the weight back on, I don't need MFP anymore (and haven't for a while) I've done this for two years so I can do it forever. Make the permanent change (as the HAES people say 90% of people put it back on... be part of the 10%). For anyone wanting to start, just start now ! It's honestly the best feeling ever to lose a load of weight you feel amazing it's definitely worth it.
