I have been a US size 16 basically my entire adult life (26F). In August I started my weight loss journey and I've bought maybe 1 or 2 shirts in the entire time I've been losing. I haven't even touched pants, because I've been wearing stretch pants since I became too uncomfortable in jeans, and, well, they stretch, so even my biggest leggings still fit (though some of them are becoming a bit loose around the knees).
Well, yesterday, my mom and sister went out holiday shopping and went home with a variety of pants in 2 or 3 different sizes (they're losing weight right now as well, and wanted to work down to the smallest sizes they bought). They told me they'd bought a size 12 and wanted me to try them on. My sister said "Your thighs are definitely smaller than mine, I'm sure they'll fit!"
I didn't think they would fit... But, I listened to my sister and I tried them on.
They fit. They effing fit.
I haven't been anything smaller than a 14-16 since I was 17 years old, and now I fit into a size 12?!
That means I'm soon to be completely OUT of "plus" sized clothes. I never thought I would be in this place. I thought I'd be fat forever, and that I could never be successful with any weight loss program.
Those are the first words of mine I've ever been happy to eat.
I still can't believe they fit.
