Long time lurker, first time poster here.
I didn't think I would ever be capable of healthy weight loss again after struggling with mental health issues for many years, but I'm very proud to announce that I hit an exciting benchmark this morning: 15 pounds gone!!!

135 lb = real confidence https://imgur.com/a/mUvAZPv
Process is huge for me this time around. I've gained and lost weight before, but it's always been a miserable slog or involved some extreme diet that gelled very poorly with my body. When I eventually did hit my weight goals, I wouldn't even be able to celebrate them because I knew that the weight loss had come from a place of punishing myself rather than a place of love/confidence.
This time around I was really patient. I focused on making lifestyle changes+hitting fitness goals (finishing a spin class, running a 5K, getting into a weight lifting routine etc.) rather than a quick fix that would eventually cause me to crash and binge. I'm hoping that celebrating this benchmark will give me the motivation to keep going!!! Best of luck to everyone in the community. Keep pushing.
