I'm sure a lot of us on this sub starting out also have NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease), which pretty much goes hand in hand with being overweight.
For those of you that have lost weight AND reversed/improved your fatty liver, what way of eating did you follow to achieve this?
-
I've read that keto is good as you become fat adapted, and therefore your body eventually utilises the fat content of the liver as energy.
-
I've also heard that a low fat/plant-based diet is helpful.
-
Finally, I've read that any weight loss is helpful (regardless of what you are eating) as weight loss eventually results in fat loss from the liver.
Any input appreciated.
Thanks!
