Hello r/loseit !
So I recently started my weight loss journey and I wanted to make sure that what I'm doing is fine or if I need to be changing anything.
A little about me: Male, 6'00"(183cm), 259.8 lbs (Currently), Age 26
So I have been weighing in each week in the morning around the exact same time. My initial weigh in I started at 274.6lbs. After week one I weighed in at 267.0lbs for a loss of 7.6lbs. I believe that that was considered unhealthy so I looked it up. Found out that due to water weight, sodium, cutting carbs, etc. That it was possible to lose that much weight and not be too worried about it. Well I just did my second weigh in this morning and have gone from 267.0lbs to 259.8lbs which is another 7.2lbs. So now is why I am questioning what I am doing.
My diet has been incredibly routine these past two weeks.
8:00AM - OIKOS Triple Zero Greek Yogurt
12:30PM - 7oz shredded chicken breast 1.5 cups of either Brussel Sprouts or Asparagus
3:00PM - Banana (I'll keep a banana for when I am feeling hungry, eat one 3/4 days a week)
8:30PM - Various healthy dinners my girlfriend finds on pinterest (450-600 calories)
Water consumption: Between 72-100oz daily
So in total I would say I am eating roughly 1,100 - 1,200 calories daily. Do I need to up my calorie consumption to like 1,500? Maybe throw in a protein shake? I planned on doing that because I was going to start doing cardio through Apple Fitness +
Anyway, all suggestions are much appreciated. I'm having no difficulty keeping up with the weight loss, but want to make sure I am doing it right!
