Finally lost weight after a one year plateau!

I (37f) had my second child in 2019 and lost a load of baby weight in the first couple of months but it just abruptly stopped in jan 2020 and I have been the same weight (151 lbs) since then moving up or down 1lb occasionally.

I have tried to make small changes over the last year to my diet and exercise to reach my goal pre baby weight (136 lbs) but nothing really stuck until jan 1st where I decided to make some bigger changes. I don’t drink much but I have stopped completely for now and stopped snacking on chocolate and biscuits- I am only allowed 100 cals of chocolate max per day now. I don’t count calories but I am eating noticeably smaller portions and snacks. I’ve also set myself the minimum goal of doing at least one 10 minute HIIT workout video each day which has worked amazingly well as it’s such a short amount of time I can easily fit this in first or last thing and often do double that instead of feeling all this pressure to do a ‘proper’ punishing workout.

After all this- finally, FINALLY, I have lost 1.5lbs and half an inch off my waist in just over 3 weeks. I am so elated, it’s really been getting me down especially after I managed to lose the weight after my first child fairly easily (it still took 18 months but the weight loss was steady). I wanted to share as finding this community has really helped me feel less alone. I know it’s just a tiny amount of weight and a small weight loss goal- but I also know a lot of people really find that last 10-15 pounds painfully hard to shift. I’m really proud that I’ve finally made some progress- and even if I never reach my goal weight, I’ve found an exercise regime I can stick to that is genuinely making me feel better. Thanks to everyone who has shared similar stories and motivated me along the way!
