Restarting now is better than continuing to gain weight.

I'm not gonna lie, I completely gave up on my weight loss for a few months, from starting at 347 and dropping to 288 I'm back up at 311.4 now, regaining more than 20 pounds and losing months of progress.

But I realized today that wallowing in my pity isn't going to reverse what I've been doing for the past couple months, and the only way to fix this is to get back on the wagon. I really just want to avoid this happening again in the future, a few years ago I was at 320 and lost down to the exact same weight (288) before rebounding all the way up to 347. I have no idea why I am completely incapable of going below that weight, the whole reason I started eating like a pig again is that a month-long plateau at 288 completely crushed my resolve to keep going.
