I got pregnant less than a year after losing 100 pounds, but I think it’s helping me accept my body.

Hi, I’m 22 and back in November 2017 I started a weight loss journey. In November I was 272lbs, by the time the end of February 2018 rolled around I was down to 173lbs! Since last June I was a solid 180-185 (it just depended on the day). So I maintained a 90lb weight loss from June 2018-December 2018.

(I lost the first 20lbs in just 10 days and the weight just melted off, I was also working ALOT and not really eating a lot. It wasn’t the healthiest way to lose weight it was way too fast but I had kept it off until the first month of my pregnancy. )

Now, I’m almost done being pregnant. I’m about 230lbs which is already 50lbs gained but I’m not too concerned about losing the weight because it is really mostly all my stomach. My tummy is just really huge. My legs and arms are bigger but nothing like before. It’s really weird to see how weight is distributed differently being pregnant vs just obese. I wear all medium maternity clothes but at 230 before I wore an XXL.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Their body changing so fast and drastically like this? At first I was so upset with every pound I gained but now I realize it’s all for the baby and I lost it before I can for sure do it again. I’m also very young which is lucky for me. I’ve also noticed that since I was a lot bigger before, this pregnancy has not caused one stretch mark!!! The human body is amazing!
