I never had trouble with weight in my life until I had an injury a couple of years ago. At my peak weight of 207, I started vigorously exercising. I was going 4-5 times a week and sweating with a peak heart rate of 170 for a minimum of 30 minutes. Sometimes I would go 60 minutes. I would also do light strength training (15 pull ups, bench press, curls, etc) on top of this.
After three months of this routine, I had seen no results just in terms of weight loss.
So I started buying pre-packaged meals in the ballpark of 450 calories per meal. I would only eat 3 per day. I tried a variety of them and my favorite ones were nothing special like Annie's frozen meals or stuff I would find at Costco. I was also careful to avoid most calorie-rich drinks.
I drank beer once a week. In just about a month and a half I was down to 185 and this was with decreased exercise.
I wanted to tell people this in case someone else is out there trying to sweat it off. I found it much easier to starve it off.
