Today after a week of stalling on my weight loss (just couldn't drop below 167, but I'm about to start my period so I tried to just stick with CICO and hope for a whoosh), I hopped on the scale and saw 165! I'm 5'9, so I'm officially in the normal BMI range!
My highest weight was 185 so it doesn't sound like that big of a weight loss, but I've been struggling with being borderline overweight for most of my life and felt uncomfortable in my skin, and even though I still have about 25 lbs to lose until my goal weight of 140, I feel great! My stomach doesn't feel bloated in the morning when I wake up anymore, my face looks more angular and I can see my cheekbones, and my hips aren't quite as wide. Here's to the first 20 lbs lost, gearing up for the second 25!
I'm constantly in awe of this group. People who have never struggled with food related issues or their weight have no idea what the emotional toll is like, and the support of this community has really helped me push address my emotional eating and the compulsion. Happy losing, everyone!
