I am in the wedding party for my best friend ( as a grooms-woman) and bought a dress back in February at a bridal shop, I was initially fitted as a size 22.
I made a pact with the bride, whom I’ve become good friends with, back in January to try and work off some weight and have a healthier lifestyle (as we are both bigger women and want to work towards a better version of ourselves)
Yesterday went to a local tailoring shop, thinking I just needed a hem, but it turned out I also needed to resize my dress! I’m so excited!
I temporarily fell off the weight loss wagon as I had surgery back in June, and couldn’t move around much for a few weeks. I was a bit depressed and indulged in a lot of comfort food. I am still healing, but after a month I was feeling well enough to to start walking again to and from work ( With the ok 👍 from the nurse, as long as I didn’t over do it)
Anyways I just wanted to share this with someone, and that I’m feeling better physically and mentally. I am looking forward to the wedding and not be so self conscious about pictures. I still have a ways to go before I hit my optimal weight, but I know it will come in time with hard work and patience.
Thanks for listening and I sincerely hope all the best with your own weight loss journey, we’re in this together! ❤️
