Face gains are real!

33M 5’10” SW 274+, CW 177, GW 174-

I am soooo close to hitting the 100lb mark.

I’ve been at this weight loss thing for about a year and a half. At first, the weight flew off of me. But in the last 6 months it’s slowed a lot. I was starting to get a bit down on myself over the last few weeks because the scale wasn’t moving as quickly as I’d like. But tonight I decided to take a selfie and was really shocked at the progress I’ve made. This is a reminder for everyone either just starting out, or for those who’ve been at this a while. Take pictures! Look back at your old self (either right now or in a month or two) and see the progress you’ve made!

Also, unrelated - I made a friend! He’s an army guy - super macho and into fitness. I’m a self identifying gay dude who’s not very “alpha” at all. But he offered to help me start lifting weights! I mentioned to him that I was thinking about trying to bulk up a bit now that I’m nearing the end of my weight loss goal, and he (completely unprovoked) offered to help!

This feels so great. I’m getting the confidence to make friends and step out of my comfort zone. Before, when I was nearly 300lbs, I was so ashamed of myself. I never would have had the confidence to do something like this. But now I’m ready to take my fitness goals to the next level.

Sorry. I know this is a bit of a “ramble” post. But it’s been a good day and I really wanted to share. ☺️
